The Ruger SP 101 double action revolver in .357 caliber is the best concealed-carry firearm on the market, lots of power in a small, easily concealed package. But nothing is perfect. The only way to improve it is to make the grip a little bigger. It''s just a bit small for my hand.

i have had a ruger 10/22 since 1967 i bought another in 1976 after selling the first to a uncle both are great little guns i bought a sp101 for my wifes birthday on 7-9-10 needless to say i done research on the computer and fell in love at first sight but in reallife this is a great little gun its tight and the quality is high in every respect its a easy gun to hold and sight cant wait for my birthday dear [ hint hint ]

I bought one for my wife. She isn''t really into guns like I am, and I''ve tried several times to find a gun she could enjoy. Her hands are not very strong. She can''t pull back the slide on an auto, so even .380''s are not good for her. She doesn''t like recoil, even on most of the snubby .38 revolvers. She doesn''t want anything too big or too heavy like a full size revolver. The sp101 has enough weight to reduce the kick, but it''s still not too heavy for her to carry and use. The grip is small enough for her hands, and it turns out that she is pretty accurate with it. This is the first gun larger than a .22 that she has claimed to really like. It hit the sweet spot. I got her some pretty hardwood grip panels for it, and she has really taken ownership of it now! I got a matching one for myself so we could have a his-n-hers set.
Mostly we shoot .38''s just for cost, but she doesn''t mind a .357 in it either.
The gun is solid enough to handle the hottest loads.
It''s a comfortable, rugged, attractive gun that we can shoot and shoot and shoot and will probably still be able to hand it down to our grandchildren. What more do you want?
